Duty of remembrance
I WONDER, IS IT THE DUTY OF REMEMBRANCE THAT HELPS HISTORY FROM REPEATING ITSELF?
I visited the horrifying camps of Dachau in Germany because I believe that in order to learn from history and to stop it from repeating itself, and to fight negationism, you have to acknowledge the past, and truly understand it. Needless to say, it’s a very heavy project, nothing feels right, and I’m not sure which direction to go from here because there is so much pain in the world that we need to take responsibility and be accounted for.
