Frequently asked questions

WHEN SHOULD I DO MY PORTRAIT SESSION?

I often have people around me say that they don’t feel photogenic enough, that they need to be in shape before having their photographs taken. Let me tell you: there is no such thing as not being photogenic. It is my job to make you photogenic, to make you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. You are beautiful. There is no wrong time for a portrait experience. Now is the right time.

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WANT FOR MY PORTRAITS?

That’s okay. We will discuss together what fits best your overall vision, and what you want to convey. After your vision is set, I will create a moodboard (a visual composition of images, colours, texts, etc, for a creative topic) that I will share with you and my team. If you are satisfied with it, then we will take care of the rest, all you have to do is show up. You can find more informations about the process on the Portrait Experience page.

WHAT IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL PORTRAIT?

Most of the time, an environmental portrait is the photograph of a person within the environment in which they evolve (usually a place where they spend most of their time, or their workplace). The key to an environmental portrait is the symbolism of the various elements shown on the image, which are used to give context to the details and tell a story.

WHAT DOES YOUR LOGO STAND FOR?

Janus is the ancient roman god of beginnings and ends, duality, time, but most of all past and future. The past is constantly referenced to in my work. And its consequences on today’s world is something I am always striving to understand. My own interpretation of Janus’ dual face is that it makes you look into the past with one face and into the future with the other, but the two are always intrinsically linked together. In my version, Janus has Michelangelo’s David’s face, because it is the quintessence of art and portraiture.
